Jazzercise!!

A friend from church and I are going to join Jazzercise. They are having a special right now for $50 for unlimited classes for 30 days. The facility we will be at offers free childcare! I'm so excited! I'm hoping this will help me to meet my goal... 5 1/2 more pounds to go!!

Come on Jenn you can do it! I'm so proud of your Monday lunch! Stay motivated. Are you feeling it in your clothes at all? Do you see it in the mirror? Even one meal can be a victory! Take it one meal at a time!:)

I love you.

So proud of you, Nicole!

I'm so glad you lost two pounds! That's awesome and it shows your dedication and perseverance! Unfortunately, I haven't felt as motivated. I'm just finding it very hard during my busy schedule to slow down, especially to eat! This week was a bit different, as it got started off on an exciting note, with the arrival of baby Emerson. No...not making excuses, I was just extra busy this week (but loved every minute of it). When I'm at work, I only have 15 minutes to eat. So the 10-5-10 rule is really hard for me. I've trained myself to scarf down my food in order just to eat! I do this at dinner too. I know that I need to make a concerted effort to do better. All I can say is, this week is a new week and I'm going to do my best. I'm trying, trying TRYING to avoid the sweet tea. I was good a couple of days this week - which is an improvement for me!!!! Also, I haven't borrowed a scale yet, so it's hard for me to weigh in. Ugh. It sounds like excuses, and maybe it is. I'm just struggling a little bit. I do look forward to hearing about your progress and what and how you've eaten for the day. It encourages me. I'm so proud of you! Keep it up!

How long it took to eat it: 10 - 5 - 10

What I would change: Ugh! Clearly, a lot. I'm still getting used to this. I haven't started drinking the H2Orange yet and I definitely need to up my water intake. I am proud of myself because I didn't have very much sugar today and I completely avoided my daily sweet tea. I find that during the school day, I can't do the 10-5-10 very well because of the short amount of time I have to eat. I'm learning to be consistent and disciplined...it's hard.

Holding Eachother Accountable

Here's to our first steps on our journey to weightloss and a healthy way of living. Being a mom has been the most rewarding and amazing thing I have ever experienced. Of course, the left over baby weight isn't quite as enjoyable as the actual end product. I think Nicole would 100% agree with me that we'd do it 100 times over, baby weight and all, to get the wonderful little gifts from God that we've been blessed with. As Nicole and I are struggling a little bit with our weight, we are deciding to accept the challenges of our struggles and do something about it. This blog was created to inspire, encourage and hold us accountable for our actions. We will be posting what we eat, our routines and any other info that will encourage us to keep up this healthy way of living. Yes, this has a little to do with body image, but more than anything, it's to take care of ourselves and be a good example to our girls and to do it in a healthy way and to take into account what's really important. How lucky I am to have a friend/sister to share in something so neat, such as becoming a mommy. I'm lucky to have her, and lucky to be embarking on the journey of motherhood and becoming healthy with her. Here's to a great beginning. Love you, Nicole!
